THE POWER OF CONFIDENCE.

Out of fear, back into life.

Out of fear, back into life.

In magazines, Elisabeth reads a lot about typical women’s conditions. Then she herself is suddenly affected. She reduces her social contacts to the bare minimum. Her insecurity becomes a new companion. Fear is now constantly by her side. How could her life have changed so drastically?

It took this event to bring about change.

It all begins with a foreign-body sensation in the lower abdomen. Then comes pain during sex. Elisabeth withdraws and becomes distant. A vicious circle. The sad climax is her birthday party: suddenly, a warm dampness between her legs. The stain unmistakable. In front of all the guests, Elisabeth has uncontrollably urinated. She would like nothing more than to sink into the ground. This is the day Elisabeth decides to overcome her fear and make an appointment for an examination in the city.

The end of suffering is the beginning of a new life.

Today, Elisabeth is a different person. Confident, open, sociable. Because the pelvic organ prolapse is long behind her now. A minimally invasive story, to be precise: a small procedure in which the uterus, cervix, and vagina were fixed back into the pelvis using a mesh. What she could have spared herself if she had acted earlier? She no longer asks herself that question. Elisabeth is out of fear, back in life. And that is all that matters.
